Getting to the museum
The Museum of Old Vaasa is located in the city quarter known as Old Vaasa. You can access the museum using your own vehicle or by local bus. The no. 4 and 7 buses depart from Vaasa Market Square and their route runs through Old Vaasa. For timetable details, please go to the website of Vaasa local transport.
There are parking spaces for visitors on the museum’s premises.
Accessibility
The Museum of Old Vaasa is difficult to access if disabled . The museum does not have a step-free entrance nor is there any ramp by the doorway. Owing to the cramped spaces, it is not possible to get around using bulky mobility aids.
The entrance to the museum is located in the courtyard. The courtyard driveways may be uneven and the objects in the courtyard may cause a risk of collision. The forecourt driveways are cobbled, which makes them slippery and difficult to walk on. The cobbled surfaces render getting around with mobility aids impossible.
